Mission Statement:
Our mission is to give back in ways that elevate the community through creativity, compassion, and a deeper understanding of not only others but oneself.
The Larry and Laurie Roberts Foundation for the Arts was founded in memory of my late husband, Larry Roberts. He was a visionary, a true renaissance artist. His desire to continually learn, experiment, and support those who were interested in the Arts to explore and create for themselves first was an inspiration to others.
Our goal is to bring together people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, races, and gender identities to create art, to encourage learning to understand and not just accept but appreciate our differences.
Art classes for Veterans. Sharing creative outlets for those who have served, to show other pathways in which to express emotions, while learning to re-engage in a society that can be overwhelming.
Scholarships in the areas of Fine Arts, Music and Writing. To award three per year, one in each category to candidates that have been chosen by the Board of Directors.
LarryRobertsChicago is donating 50% of all NET proceeds to the Foundation.
